Jardim da Serra is an agricultural paradise located high above Câmara de Lobos. At an altitude of 750 meters, it's the youngest civil parish in Madeira and is famous for its cherry production and stunning panoramic views of the island's southern coast.
How to Get There by Bus
The village is well-connected to Funchal and Câmara de Lobos by Horários do Funchal inter-urban routes.
Highlights
Cherry Festival: Usually held in June, this festival celebrates the local cherry harvest with music, dancing, and of course, a chance to taste the freshest cherries on the island.
Boca da Corrida: A short drive or walk from the village center leads to this spectacular viewpoint (2,000 feet up) where many hiking trails start, including the path to the summit of Pico Grande.
