Perched in the hills above Câmara de Lobos, Estreito is the epicenter of Madeira's famous wine production. The village is surrounded by terraced vineyards that produce the grapes for the world-renowned Madeira wine, and hosts the annual Cherry Festival in June.

Use the named Estreito C.Lobos stop or timing point for Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. Plan the pedestrian leg from that point to your exact destination; the bus sheet does not give a walking distance or confirm entrance access.
The way back

What to see in Estreito
Explore the traditional winemaking culture with visits to local quintas (wine estates). The Igreja Matriz de Estreito de Câmara de Lobos is a beautiful 18th-century church. Walk through the terraced vineyards for stunning views over Câmara de Lobos bay. Sample local cherry liqueur (Ginja) at village bars.
Best time to visit
Late June for the Cherry Festival is perfect. Autumn (September-October) for grape harvest season. The terraced landscape is beautiful year-round. Combine with a visit to nearby Cabo Girão for the famous glass skywalk.
