Route 340 is the northern way to Porto Moniz, crossing the island via Serra de Água and São Vicente before following the north coast past Seixal’s black-sand beach and Ribeira da Janela. It ends at Porto Moniz and its natural lava pools — allow around 2.5 hours end to end.
